Coppélia Tickets
Coppélia, as many ballet connoisseurs will know, is the story about a doll that mysteriously comes to life. The story is based on “Der Sandmann” by E.T.A. Hoffmann and the music was created by Léo Delibes. In this ballet Doctor Coppélius makes a dancing doll he calls Coppélia, which looks strikingly real. So real, in fact, that Franz, a hapless village boy, madly falls in love with it, much to the chagrin of Swanilda. Swanilda, in turn, takes revenge on Franz by disguising herself as Coppélia. The surprises and delusions throughout the piece have captured audiences for decades and it is absolutely recommended to buy tickets for upcoming performances of the Coppélia ballet. It is, however, important to realise Coppélia tickets are usually sold out the minute they are released. Fortunately, you may trust we have quality Coppélia tickets available when you cannot get them anywhere else! All this and more at Worldticketshop.com - Your Ticket to Fun!

Coppélia Ballet Performance
The very first performance of Coppélia was on May 25, 1870 at the Théâtre Impérial de l’Opéra in Paris. The role of Swanilda, the girl who is ‘betrayed’, was famously played by Giuseppina Bozzachi who was to die tragically of cholera on her 17th birthday. Coppélia ballet tickets have been popular for decades and it is not difficult to explain the beauty of Coppélia: the ballet may be viewed as a sentimental, comic love story featuring deception, delusion and jealousy, not quite unlike the story of Frankenstein, which also features a man-made doll becomes alive. However, in the Coppélia ballet the doll does not wreak havoc on mankind but causes jealousy and confusion when village boy Franz falls in love with it, angering his girl-friend Swanhilda. However, the tables are turned on Franz when Swanhilda poses as the doll, tricking both Franz and creator Dr. Coppélius in the process. The Coppélia performance features original choreography by Arthur Saint-Léon and the ballet libretto was originally written by Saint-Léon and Charles Nuitter.
